Ok here's the deal.. I just passed 60k on my 97'SE.. So I decide to do the necessary tune up... I changed the plugs, Flush and Drained the tranny, Radiator, A/C and crap loads of other things.. Car running great at this point..
I went to a small meet us Atlanta people held. And a few of them had intakes. I always wanted one, and had the money at the time.. So I purchased one and after I put it on, a day later my car starts to idol a lot different.. It idoled at about 7hundred before I changed this. Now it idols at 5 or 6 hundred.. That's not really the problem, Its when I come to a fast stop the car almost stalls out. A few times it has. Is this normal with aftermarket intakes? Am I suppose to reset the computer, and if so how would I do this?
This is getting on my nerves i'm tempted to put the stock intake on.

Has this happend to anyone else, Or does anyone have any suggestions on what is going on here and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Check for an intake air leak. Make sure everything is on tight. Also check to see if your MAFS is plugged in.

What is the MAFS? Is that the clip near the end of the intake. If so at first I thought it was that. And when I first started the car I forgot to put it on. And my car wouldn't go past 3 grand.. But I put it back on and I made sure the intake was on tight..(almost warped the nuts) But it still does it.

Hmm, attaching that should have worked. Reset the ECU. http://vbxmaxima.8m.com/ecu.html , and then report the results.

It sounds like you damaged your MAFS {Mass Air Flow Sensor} when you installed your intake. Resetting your ECU is not going to make any difference because your ECU reprograms it's self when new mods are added.

OK the MASF is that the black tube that connects between the intake box and the engine or the clip on part to that tube? But I replaced that black tube with the plug-in adaptor.. And it still does it.

I dunno what is going on with it..
