fans go on @ start up
#1
in the morning i start up my car, and my fans turn on..sometimes the car will just shut off while its warming up. i looked up "overcooling" in the haynes manual, and it said it can be a faulty temp sensor. can this be causing the problem? also once the temp gauge needle gets half way(normal temp) the problems stop. but if the needle stays a 1/4 of the way high my fans stay on. anyone got any ideas? this only happens if my car has been sitting over a period of time(~4 hrs)

1) Do you have aotomatic climate control?
2) Is your A/C compressor running?
3) Will the fans come BACK ON when the car gets hot?
Your fans will run anytime your A/C compressor is running. If they are on when the engine is cold and off when it's hot you might have a wire crossed or mixed up. Of for that matter a relay is in the wrong spot. ie - Normally closed relay in a spot that calls for a normally open relay. Have you or anybody else been playing with the electrical system trying to make mods?
