I am going to be buying a new Max in the near future...I was looking for a 97 or 98....Is there anything I should know to look out for, or any problems with them ?? Thanks for the help....

 

if you can buy 98-99 year, do not buy 1997, bec 98-99 has digital tachometer and dual side airbags thats what 97 doesnt have.
if you are into soft ride get gle, if you are into sporty stiff ride then get se, if you are into cheap car without any extra stuff then get gxe

i have 1997 gle and i am happy with it as it is, very soft and dependable ride. super saver on hwy lasts 400-450 miles on tank, but in 100% city driving its 160 miles on tank.
I live in NYc where a lot of "stop-go-stop-go"
