Is it safe to drive with 3 out of 4 engine mounts secure?

I recently got the place racing engine mounts...and when I put them in my car was up on ramps...it's still on ramps right now, and I can't get the front engine mount's frontmost bolt in (one of the two that mounts to part of the frame)...it's misaligned just a little bit. It almost seems like when I take the car off the ramps...the weight shift will move the engine mount into alignment. If it doesn't, is it safe to drive to my mechanic where he has the proper equipment to move the engine around in the engine bay to get the bolt in??

It is safe to drive to your mechanick, BUT dont rip your car on the way there because at hard eceleration the engine moves and might damage your hood. It happemed on my friend car. Good luck!

i was keeping up with an integra racing of all things a 1.8t beetle i was going to pass both of them and embarrass them but i ended up embarrassing myself, as i shifted into 3rd and let off the clutch i felt the gear explode. the nose dives and the motor slows to idle as i pull off the road. boom clank clank most horrifing sound of my life
drove it home in fourth fried the syncros in first and second and 3rd is gone completely

i shift very fast but im usually easy with the clutch which is why i am still in the dark as to why it broke , i try and make up for slipping the clutch by shifting fast but sometimes i shift faster then the syncros can keep up with. but that was always into second not into third.

screaminfast and i are supposed to meet up a week from this weekend and i plan on buying his transmission, ill be installing it myself should be an adventure, any luck selling the car?

Sounds cool,

I decided that I am trading my I30 in for a 2002 Maxima with a 6spd. I am however now selling my beloved 95 maxima, here on the forum check it out!

Good luck with fixing your car Pete!

lucky bastard lol. your car is gonna be faster then mine!!!!
get a good color black or sterling mist. anyways matty you can tell if your shifting faster then the syncros can keep up if you can feel the gears grind as you shift into gear , im talking really fast. like i need a shorter shifter so that i dont break the thing. i dont advise doing the same. i just hate losin races. people have told me that i shift faster then anyone they have seen and they tell me to get a real car. I tell them that id much rather have the best v6 in the world and 4 girls in the car
drive safely when you have others in the car though

My plan is to sell the car as is. It is really anoying taking all the parts off, I have allready done it twice, twice. BTW the second twice is not a misprent because I switched my I30 and maxima parts twice.
