Let me tell you those cars are very fast. I have two friends with these cars and let me tell you they smoked me hands down. We raced about 6 times and I never came close. We are all stock, but the big problem is my automatic transmission. I had a 3rd gen with a 5 speed and I think I could of done much better with the 3rd gen. Moral of the story, auto maxes are slooowwww...

The 4th gens are EXACTLY as fast as the 5th gens.

1.)That peak power comes at redline, where it is unusable
2.)They weigh about 150 lbs. more than 4th gens.
3.)Don't believe me? Look around anywhere in the org.

5 speed Max vs. CL/TL-S is about equal.

The Type-S CLs and TLs have 260hp. I've got an '02 TL-S (along with my '97 SE) and there's no comparison. Not so sure about an '02 SE though....

Is your max an auto? I raced a TL-S today, he never got away from me. The only time he pulled away was when I was shifting but I bounced right back. We were side by side when I back down around 120ish, I don't have the control I need to be driving at that speed. I need a suspension kit. I only have RSB and FSTB.

Dude automagic maxima's are not slow. At least not 95's...He shouldn't of killed you, rather just "beaten" you. If you manually shifted you shouldof got beaten by less. I have had experiance with a 95 5spd max and it HAULS. Definatally could beat a TL. But not the new ones. They have like 260HP 5speed automagic with tiptronic.

And yes 4ths are the fastest gens.

So if there's no comparison why haven't I seen a CL-S or TL-S break into the 14s when I go to the track and run 14s without NOS. Hmmm....fastest STOCK type-s I've seen at the track was 15.4xx and fastest MODDED type-s was 15.0xx. hmmmm...what does that tell you??
