Strange "clicking" noise coming from the dash

For the past few days I've been getting this strange "click click" coming from what sounds like the center console. It sounds like someone pusing the button on an old tape recorder. It sounds like a solinoid clicking over. My BOSE has been working fine and the sound still comes thru when the stereo is off. No CEL indication. It seems to happen when I'm on the highway.
