HID's "come and get some"
anyone interested in my hid's? i'm not selling mine. just seeing how much interest there is for the 9004 conversion kit, 4th generation maximas. they are the osram with hella burner. they give a perfectly pure white light.

possible group deal!
if i get a lot of ppl interested, i will try to get them dirt cheap. i mean dirt cheap. that way everyone can enjoy the lights.
i feel this is the best investment i made out of all my modds. when i drive at night, it's such a big difference. sorry to say but the bad part is it's so bright it might distract other drivers.
btw. you are looking at 400 beans flat.

u can never get that effect
we have the 4th gen lense and a 9004 set up. they will never be as bright as a h4 hid or a kit from a real hid system because of the housing. the audi's have a hid projector system that emits a beam of light so bright it captures color from the air and that's why sometimes when u see it coming, it looks like a purple hue.
trust me dude, if u see my hid's from far, you might think it's a mercedes coming down the street. if u want color, then i advice u to get fake B U L L S H I T hid's. they give u what ever color u want but the quality of the beam you will lose. white is the best. plus it's much easier to match the corners!
anyone hear from steve? aka skimax? where is he, his buddy had some good buys on hid's
let me know if someone hears from him.

hey 1hotmax, i definitely agree with you and our ghetto 9004 housing. I really don't think there is a HID kit out there that performs really well in a 9004 lamp system, since 9004's create that horizontal beam as opposed to the H4's which create a vertical beam.
I have no clue if its possible to make a HID xenon bulb create that horizontal beam similar to the 9004 bulb. Maybe if someone made aftermarket projector headlamps for the 4th gen, then i think HID would work very well on that! Yea, my HID beam pattern looks like crap, but what i might try to do later on is change the position of the xenon bulb to see if it makes any difference. Mayb if the xenon bulb is tilted shifted 90 degrees, then it could possibly improve the beam pattern. Who knows?

Did you guys hear about those AQUA BLUE CAPSULES they are selling in JAPAN. The great thing is that these capsules fit right over the xenon burner (lamp) and produces a bright blue white color. The color temp according to the guy selling them says that it is near 6000K. It costs 120 but you can't get them from mail order or internet. I have attached a site. So check them out. It looks awESOME.

i sell the osram hid kits to maxima.org members for $429. if your looking in getting better lighting for your car go with the osram hid kit. if your looking for color or just for show than osram is not for you.
i have sold many osram hid kit and not 1 kit has come back. i can't say that about the other companys. this kit is a plug & play kit , very easy to inst. most of the ppl that buy them at the store install them right in front of the store. most cars don't even need to ajust the headlamps ( i didn't have to on my 97 max)
as for the caps that go over the hid bulbs, they will reduce the light coming from the bulbs. in my case i will not put them on, thats the reason i put them on in the begining to have more lighting. as for 6k range of light i can't tell, it has not been proven yet. best bulb i seen has been 5,200 range.
i would like to ask if you have a 4,200 range bulb and put a color cap on it, how does it go up to 6k range?
if anybody wants real info on hid call 1HOTMAX or AUDIO LINKS in JERSEY CITY, NJ (201-420-6792) 11AM-6PM.
i think i will never go back to regular bulbs.

well, the higher the kelvin doesn't necessarily mean its more brighter, right? So even though its supposedly claimed it 6,000 kelvin, its probably not even as bright as a regular xenon HID bulb that has no aqua cap surround it.
Yea, you're right, it probably reduces the amount of light being put out if u put that aqua cap on the bulb. It's like the same thing as a 9004 xenon super white bulb where they have that blueish paint coating to filter the color to that white/blue look. That reduces the amount of light being passed through.
I wouldn't see why you would put a aqua cap around the HID bulb unless you wanted it to look COOL and not for safety. I'm sure you would get easily pulled over by cops just because of the really BLUE look. This is the same deal with the regular halogen bulbs versus the xenon super white bulbs... whether you want more light for safety or less light just to look COOL. Anyway, hopefully i'm not wrong on this. If I am, someone please correct me. Thanks.

for all that need the osram hid kit please call me at AUDIO LINKS 201-420-6792 between 11am-6pm new york time ( best time is after 2pm). or e-mail me at FS820@WEBTV.NET for some reason i can't get in to the forum.
I would get HIDs in a second, but the damn housing sucks. the only other option would be to get the H4's from japanese cefiros. i wish i had thought of that when i was there two summers ago. anyhow, what seroiusly is the best way to go...now I'm hearing about the adjusted beam pattern bulbs, and also, i hear they have hid kits with an HID high beam capsule also so that you're not without high beams. and to make things worse, nobody (piaa, polarg, raybrig, etc) makes good halogen hid look-alikes for the 9004 either!

i bought a pair of heliolites 45/60 watts, but the folks sent over 80/100 watt ones by accident. they ran (in the dead of winter) flawless for a few months, adn then one went out. when i checked it, it was still working, but the harness melted and the contact wasnt so great. so i put back my stock ones. i was gooing to get the harness, but then i heard people melting their harnesses with 80/100's too.

anybody know anything about the look and reliability of both the panasonic and bellof kits? a friend with a 00 maxima insists the panasonic is the kit for him (because of the brand name). the bellof kit is the one which supposedly has a high beam capsule.

I just talked to him, and since my other friend just picked up an '02 maxima with hids standard, the '00 friend of mine found out that they can be transplanted. So he's giong to have the new housings, hids AND high beams. man, i wish there was a solution as simple for me and my 9004's.

check this out...take notice of "System 5" which is the dual capsule system. unfortunately, its only available for H4...but I would assume they could do the same for 9004 (although I think the capsules would be on top of each other rather than being side-by-side as in the H4)...these kits also seem to cost A LOT more than other kits are costing lately...
