power antenna question........
power antenna question........
Is there any way I can keep my power antenna up on my Max? I want to hang a flag from my antenna, but not have it go down. Its a 99', and I have not been able to locate a fuse solely for the antenna. I also do not want to do anything too extensive to accomplish this if able to.
Thanks,

1) Switch on the radio
2) Open trunk
2) Remove the Grey shroud on the inside right .
3) Remove the power antenna power supply
There you are.

Umm..I did as you said, and found a grey wire that plugs into a
metal box on the trunk interior right near antenna motor. I unplugged it and the antenna still goes down when I turn the radio off. This is the only wire visible, aside from some tail light wires that plug into it also.Any other info?

You should try to find the connector that goes into the antenna motor and remove that one.
Let me know if you can do that.

Re: Re: Re: Re: power antenna question........
the two plugs you removed were for the remote entry system.. I tried this the other day and realized that when I read the metal box's label.. haha, I couldn't see the antenna motor, I am guessing it is right next to the jack, BEHIND that metal box.. but I couldnt find it..
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: power antenna question........
Yes, I do have the remote entry system. I tried unplugging both wires from the metal box just to see what happens. I even tried taking out the jack, and jack mounting bracket to see if I could get a better view behind the panel to no avail. Was only able to locate signal reception cable, but no power lead. I was hoping it would be a simple fuse pull. Thank you all for your input.
