I have a simliar sound. It occurs at about 2,800 rpm and goes away shortly there after, unless I'm winding it out. Daniel B. told me to check the EGR system. I've checked all of my belts, changed everything I possibly could. this weekend I will be checking my EGR system.

it does happen in 4th and 5th gear. i can play a tune just by stepping and releasing the gas pedal. how bad is that?

never troubleshot the former, but if i had to, i'd start taping off cracks and creavices like the sunroof, headlights, body lines, etc.
i couldn't make an educated guess on the latter. maybe get a buddy to crawl around the car while its happening and see if you can isolate it. my guess is that it's wind related anyway.
do you have any aftermarket bodywork that might be causing it?

i had a chirp/squeak noise when i shut off my engine too, after using the A/C usually. mechanic at the dealer said it was just remnant air passing thru one of the valves while it was in the middle of a test...have a chirp noise coming from plenum when i rev the engine in drive or park with all the lights on...
