hi...need some help...

i need to replace my headlight light bulbs.

1. what is the advantage of PIAA plasma vs. PIAA super whites.

2. what is the life expectancy of these bulbs?

3. cheapest place to buy these bulbs?

1. plasmas i think are more HID look, what year Max do you have? only 5th gen can do Plasma, if I recall right

2. I've had my PIAA Superwhites for 2 years +, and they are probably not as bright as when I first had them, but still very nice.

3. ebay? Not sure, I've seen some deals on ebay, I got my SWs for $70 locally 2 years ago.

If you have a 4th gen or lower you only have 9004 SUper Whites available to you.

i have PIAA SW 9004's and after buying probably every brand SW bulb out there i decided to stick with the PIAA. They illuminate the road the best and look closest to HID, IMHO. I have the 99 style headlights and that just makes them look that much better. I also have the 1156 PolarG corner lights to match up brightness wise.

Overall at night the car looks hott and definitly stands out amonst the other cars on the road, my .o2!

There are also the new Piaa Xtremes, but not for 9004. They do make the h3 for the fogs.

Piaa SW = Whiter than stock
Piaa Xtreme = Whiter and brighter than Piaa SW
Piaa Plasma = Brighter than Piaa SW , more white than SW but Slightly bluish like HIDs (not bad blue)

The Xtreme's are more white than the Plasma's, but the plasma's look closer to HID in my opinion. But then again neither the Plasma or Xtreme's are made for the 9004 housing.

There is a big difference from SW and Xtreme. I have SW in my headlights and Xtreme's in my fogs. The fogs are much whiter, look a very faint shade of blue compared to headlights, but not noticable if the fogs are on by themselves
