break handle

Hi everyone, from Sergy from Brooklyn, NY. I have always been a fan of Maxima.org but only recently became a member. I have a 1996 Maxima and I have a question. How do you change the stock break handle in order to put Momo pit stop handle instead ?

pull the handle all the way up and then take a hammer and a piece of wood and tap on it from the bottom up and it just slides off

Is this what you're talking about? =)

Just hammer off the stock one...don't hit it too hard though...don't worry, it'll slowly but surely come off.

Where you got that Momo brake handle from? And did the ring thing came with it? I assume it's there to keep the boot from slipping off, and make it look better.

When you say up, do you mean in a vertical position or up meaning (no break holding)?

CAN ANYONE ELSE SUGGEST WHAT TO DO...its a little confusing?

yep....it was somewhere on the server.

the reason i asked is because it seems like its harder to hit from the bottom when u put it up.....then if it was down. Know what i mean?

i understand what you're saying...i was thinking about that too, that's why i said i don't know for sure, but all the previous posts say something to the effect of "pull handle all the way up", so i'm guessing that is what it's referring to...hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me will respond shortly

sorry if i'm not of too much help
