i'm sorry, but that's just not normal. it's obvious your car has boost, but what else's been modified on it? what are your driving habits?

i don't think that is right. i may be outta my mind, but that seems a little odd. i think you might wanna check the valves and see if they are moving. but it seems you might have gotten a POS cam.

Were you dropping the engine in, or doing a rebuild?

Man, a broken cam sounds very very odd....it's the kind of thing you might see if there was massive lubrication failure or if the engine was crushed in a collision, but not during normal driving. I've heard of cracked cylinder heads from beating the engine, but never a cracked cam.

Check the engine, and don't worry about it.

I know people who have destroyed the indestructible SR20DE motor WITHOUT forced induction or NOS, so yes... freak accidents DO happen.

Freakin Sheit!!!

That BLOWS...

Those cams were hard welded right? Perhaps they over heated the cam when welding on the lobe in that area and weakend it.

Who did the cams again so we can stay away from them...

No metal chips in the valve area I hope. Its better than rod knock, right!!!
