'99 SE ECU different from other 4th gens
My check engine light came on two days ago and today it disappeared. The car seems to be driving normal. Do you think I should disregard the light as it never appeared or should I have it checked out?
I went to diagnose my check engine light using the directions from the sticky but my ecu is different than the one on the instructions.
Instead of having a flat head screw, mine has a phillips screw with a description low to high for idling and diagnosic test. I didn't want to turn the screw to have it mess up my idle.
Can someone that has reseted an ECU for a '99 SE help me?
Thanks..

Mine says the same thing but that's what you are going to use to do the self-diagnostic.
It appears that the 4th gen 99 Maximas have different text than the other 4th gens.
Hope this helps.
