Anyone have opinions to share regarding high flow catalytic converters that are on the market? Any noticeable difference? Did it justify the $ 189 plus installation cost? Thanks in advance for the assistance.

I'm waiting for my stock to burn out. this way its only like 50 more than stock. Gives some gains, like 8 hp, but works best when used with ypipe and bpipe.

I would assume it'd make the exhaust signifcantly louder, especially at lower RPMs

Many people have purchased the RT to lower the amount of droning noise they have from their aftermarket exhaust/y-pipe combo. With stock exhaust everything, remains about the same.

RT Cat didn't really lower sound

At least I couldn't tell the difference... ditto with the HP... at least seat of the pants feel.. BTW, i'm running with the Y and GReddy.

I heard it frees up much more torque than horsepower, which I think is great cause thats your speed right there.

Installed my RT Cat before the Y-pipe and no change in sound. About .1-.2sec faster than stock in the 1/4 (if any)

Just got my y-pipe and haven't run with that yet. (Yes the 14.99 was before the y-pipe)

Watch out for the f*^(*&%( flanges on the RT Cat. Not a good seal against the new Y. Suggest customer weld work if you go with theirs.

One of the welds came off the RT cat heat shield>>>

Buzzing drove me crazy... thought it was the upper heatshield on the car. Luckily i knew someone with a welder... reinforced the other spot welds as well...
