SC CAI problem

okay, I went out and bought all the pipes and a 6" k&n cone filter with a 3.5" opening to make a CAI (according to chestons directions) . The only problem is that the filter will NOT fit in the fender well. I pulled the tire and lining off, and the windsheild washer fluid resorvoir is in the way. There is no way the filter is going in there. What filter is everyone using, or are you just removing that resorvoir? thanks

The coolant resevoir is relocated. The windshield resevoir has to removed to fit the custom cai filter.

Another possibility is to stick the pancake filter in the fender well and line it up with the existing hole across from the s/c. You will need to widen the hole a little but then you can have a pipe made to go up to the s/c. Only downfall is the filter is 3" id to the 3.5 blower.

Screw that windshield water bottle, I wash my car too often so I never use it any ways.

I used 3.5" mandrel bent tubing and some marine exhaust hose with a big *** K&N that will be able to flow enough air for a 3.5L motor with 14psi of boost
