"colder intake"?

not sure what that means but this has been discussed many times. Most people will probably say to get an intake that will require you to bore a hole into your tire well... a cold air intake.

I personally have an injen intake and I hate it. I wish I stayed with stock to be honest. The sound is nice but the trouble it has caused was not worth it.

Oh, and they are a piece of cake to install. Make sure you use a nice k&n filter and not the ****ty ones they come with.

Well, the hose clamps that came with the intake were crappy and I had to purchase new ones.

Actually, most of the other problems I had were mainly my fault but I can't help but think that if I had stayed stock I would never have had those problems, ya know?

maf sensor? that has its own housing that fits in between the filter and the throttle body. there is another sensor that you plug into the new intake. there will be a hole for it in one of the pipes if I remember correctly.

He's probably talking about the IAT sensor, just ziptie it somewhere.

since were on this topic. Ive had an ebay short ram with a k&n for a while but I can't figure out what the third hole in it is. it seems like it should have a hose connected to it but there are no more hoses to connect. its pretty small in size and its not for the iat sensor either..anyone have this problem?

I think there are supposed to be three hoses, two big ones and the tiny one.

Unless you meant 4th hole because some of the eGay intakes have 4 nipples.

I have a stillen short ram intake and have had it for 5 years and have had no problems with it. it also comes with a hole for the IAT sensor at the top of the filter. Its easy to install it should only take about half an hour to throw in.
