That has nothing to do with the purely bad information you put in that post. There is a huge difference between advice and facts.

"purely bad information"?... We could go back and forth until the thread is locked. We should agree to disagree.

It's fun though huh?

Wowzers. relax man. dgeesaman is........ well, simply put......... the man! (Even though the bastard never responded to my last pm, but it's cool, I was able to source locally & rebuild a core in time anyways)

The sedimint bs is exaclty that. However there is a benefit to keeping your tank as full as possible,........the more air that is in your tank overnight when the temps drop, the more condensation will build up inside your tank. Water in gas ftl.

Lol, R u just saying we're both wrong to mess with my head? I swear you are!

But, the laws of physics are pretty simple, on a cool night the warm air in your tank condenses, the more fuel you have in your tank the less water that you will have in your tank, it's as simple as that. And how can you argue with what degeesamna said either? When you think about it, the pick-up IS at the bottom of the tank. I'll give you the mileage thing though, it might be just as accurate as the pump shut-off method, but I usually get within .3mpg when I was doing it a few times in a row.

I don't dispute the condensation. That part is correct. Your fuel is also a cooling agent for the fuel pump. The more fuel in the tank the better that process works. But every fuel tank has sediment in it ( some more that others ). Yes, the pick-up is on the bottom, but why do you think it has a filter sock on it and an inline filter after the pump.
Your filters keep the "crap" in your tank from getting to the injectors. Other wise, we don't need filters. Now, If with that you can agree that some sediment is in most tanks, you can unerstand parts per thousand. The fuel leaves, the crap in the tank doesn't, resulting in a higher consentration of crap clogging the filters and causing the pump to work harder. End result of running your fuel system to empty all the time is not a catostrophic fuel system failure, just fuel pump failure.

Now, If any of this sounds like "crap", RESEARCH IT.
Find a link to dispute anything I'v stated.
I can find plenty to back it up.
If I'm full of sh*t, I'll step up to the plate and say I'm wrong. Nobody's perfect.
Not even "The Man".

Nothing on this site sould be enough for anyone to get mad about. It's just too much fun.
