Helppp
Ok ive been doing little things here and there like replacing my bumper lenses and my tail lights, butttt I have two major problems. First off...Every place I call to get a quote to paint my fender says I have to come to them. I live on average an hour away from them. Can anybody actually give me a quote on painting a brand new fender (I have a white car with a black passenger side fender). Also...my knock sensor... Ive read every write up there is to replace it and it just doesnt work for me. I tried using a raquet with an extension and a universal, but i just cant seem to loosen it. Besides my hands are way too big to fit in there. Every place I go to tells me that I need to take the upper intake off and that costs 400 bucks. Can anybody please tell me how to properly use this raquet and ill get my lil sister to pull it out. Thank you.

Yeah im telling you man... Im getting 14-16 mpg with my car right now. It sucks really badly. I have the new knock sensor and everything. I just need to replace the thing. IT sucks too because my car is pearl white and i have this giant piece of black (fender) on my passenger side... doesnt look good at all.

Pearl is definitely extra. Extremely hard to match. I can't help you with price, but I can tell you to take it to a pro....and have them put it in writing that they gurantee it will match. No verbal contracts. ![Smilie](https://maxima.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
As for the knock sensor, it should be easy as long as you don't have a CA car. The best tool for this can be found at Home Depot. See here.....

The head can be titled at an angle, so that the head is parallel to the ground, while the extension is at the perfect angle for you to work. The extension also can be extended by pulling on the circular donut you see in the pic to give you extra leverage and length (about another 6").
And, after you position the handle to the right angle, you can 'lock it' with a push of a button (the small black circle you see approximately in the middle of the ratchet)
And it's guranteed for life. This tool rocks. A must have.
Go to Home Depot and check it out.

I couldnt tell you an exact price to expect on the fender but it should set you back a few hundred. Matching is really hard on pearls and clearcoat are usually an additional hundred or so. Personally i would have just bought from the guy on ebay that sells em for like 165 pre painted, may not match 100% but still cheaper.
