help!!! de-k swap question...

yeah i just did a de-k swap, and wasnt sure about the rpm switch, i havent got one yet, and i was looking into it and they are 50 bux. well i found an apexi vtec controller for 140bux used. but it is in new condition. if i get the controller is it compatible with my maxima? and can i use it as a rpm switch? i tryed to search for this thread and didnt really get an answer.

check in the all motor forum there are stickies about the VAFC. I just bought one and I havent hooked it up but it supposedly does work to control the variiable intake manifold.

i'll be selling my rpm switch as well if you dont get the VAFC. btw...when you say "vtec controler" your talking about the VAFC right?

Yes. It's an MSD 8969. Digital RPM switch. Fully changeable for open point and close point.

The only one that will as an rpm switch is the VAFC2.. The normal vafc does not have the rpm switch built into it and has 12 points of fuel correction vs 24 or the VAFC. There is stick in the all motor forum that consolidates all the information.
