my antenna mast goes up and down fine, but the bottom piece does not go up or down and sticks up about and inch when down. anyone have this problem? I tried to push and pull on it with no luck. Any ideas?

 

I would consider replacing the mast for the power antenna, they are only $15-$20 at local parts store.

 

how do you stop the antenna from going up when you turn the radio on? i listen mostly to cd and cant stand how the antenna goes up everytime i turn on the radio.

 

In mine, I can press the mode buttons (tuner, cassette, CD) to turn on the radio and it automatically goes to that function, or at least it seems that way (since the CD doesn't work and the tape says "TAPE Err"). That's on the factory radio.
