engine trouble

engine trouble

my car sounds like a subaru wrx and has no power . I think its a missfire but the cel didnt come on, has any one ever had these symptoms and if you did what was the problem and how did you fix it.

From: Fuk 301 it's 410 Bal Md black/purple.
First, what year is your max if it's 99 check the coilpacks for misfires. I would also look at the fuel injectors and see if there clogged up and see if there causing the misfires. when you start your car does it have to crank alot then turn over would like to have more info.

I had a similar situation like this. One day, car sounded like a wrx and it was losing major power. The culprit... the coilpack on one of the cylinders were bad! so check your coilpacks. one or more isn't working correctly. You leave the car running and just unplug them one by one... if you hear an idle drop.. that means that coilpack that you just unplug is working fine and continue on to the next.. the one that doesn't make a difference, is the dead one. hope this helps

Its a 1998 5 spd with v2 supercharger. It has no problem starting

If it were your fuel injectors you can start the car and in park try to rev a bite then see if the misfiring pulses get faster then that's your problem.
