missfire at WOT
Ok so I was going back home from work and I wanted to push my baby stronger than usually. At 4th gear doing around 110 mph my SES started blinking and I felt loose of power. I know that was misfire. After i slowed down it stopped blinking. When I got home i pulled code and it showed me p0302 which is cyl# 2. Is it possible it was misfiring because i had almost empty fuel tank? If not, what is the reason that it misfires at WOT not other other load? my ***** is 99 and has almost 100k miles.
thanks for any info

Well first off you were putting your car under a lot of pressure so you are creating problems by driving like that. But your problem is probubly just a spark plug if shes not that old and only 100k and you driving like that I would venture a guess of a bad spark plug.

Wide Open Throttle.
Are you on the original coils? 99's are well known for faulty coil packs.

I had a similar experience about 1 1/2 years ago with my 95 SE, then with just over 170K miles. It had been years since I had opened it up, so late one night just for fun I cranked it up to a little over 100 on an empty highway, and shortly after noticed a severe miss (don't remember if the SES light came on).
Turned out, the electrode had burned off one plug, and I was running on 5 cylinders. Changing the plugs - which hadn't been done since 100K anyways - solved the problem. But I do suspect that use of the original coils (still in the car, by the way) might have exacerbated the melted plug problem.
