for starters...my trans was a little over 200lbs.(dry weight)
I only paid $400 for it shipped to my door.
And there is a filter. There is one that a transmission shop will put on if a used tranny is brought into them from an outside source. It connects to the hose leading from the rad back to the tranny. I got mine from www.car-part.com and they sent a little red tag saying to replace this filter before installation or they will not offer their warrenty.
It cost me 700 to get it installed (way to much), so 1100 total. Not to bad considering they wanted over 2000 for a rebuild.

SCREW THAT, i'd do a 3.5 swap everything for that price, do it yourself bro its easy do what i did, $75 on hand tools, 50 bux to pay a reliable buddy to help you and pay $100 at pick n pull and get er done.

i grabbed a tranny out a wrecked car with 177k miles and here i am 6 months later good as new except that morning hard2nd gear kick, my old tranny gave at 280k miles.

and if all fails pull tranny from junk yard pay 100 for it and then pay mechanic $300 to put it in.

your car is blue booked value is the price of that tranny 3300 is crazy.

good luck man, i hate tranny problems but trust me it was easy hardest part was getting cv axcels out after that unbolt tranny/starter/torque converter and it slides straight down jack new one up in their and get it goin.
