Red Bumber lights on Red Max instead of Clears?

i got to thinking, b/c i love how the clears look on a white or silver max. why not red, so i did a lil photoshop

thats as close i could get it on my screen, could vary on others but you get the idea

i got the idea from my originals, if you can see they kinda look redish, with a lil bit of orange, theres a slight difference with other stockers,

originals, not photshoped

and at night when they are on, theres a lil redish/orange tint going on, imagine if it was more red, with an orange bulb, dunno who legal that is tho

Well reds in the front are illegal so depending on where you are you may have problems with it. I think that on a red car it would look nice but the added attention may not be worth it.

yeah i was worried about that, what about just aesthetically b/c the car is red they wouldnt really notice, and plus if i dont have them on and have the corners be the signals. other than shaving them, that could be the best bet, cuz i'm not digging 10 front lights when you count the fogs!

the way i see it is the headlights should always be chrome on a red max, so having chrome bumper lenses will always match.

shaving the light correctly is not easy, however i think it would definitely be worth the trouble. legality won't be an issue if you wire the clearance lights as signals.

imo this black thing is getting out of control. i think it only looks good on black cars, and i see it going out of style pretty soon. but thats just my opinion.

i agree, with a red car there is to much contrast and it might make the car look like a honda special. IMO shaved looks the best i think the bumper lights kinda take away from the look of the front end especially on non-black cars.

i second that, the black bumpers is kinda getting out of control these days, especially on non black cars. i remember a couple yrs ago at nopi in Atlanta i saw a black max that shaved the bumper lights, a girl was standing in front of it but i dont know if it was hers tho. anyone else know of it remember seeing it

I used to have red bumper lights. Granted my car is blue... but... I used the red tape for temporary repairs on taillights and just put it over the stock orange like you would tint. It looked pretty cool. Never had any problems with it as far as illegality is concerned. I now have the black clears but nonetheless, some pics:
