I just bught my 96 maxi and it has an aftermarket UNGO alarm, i know they are not the best but it was with the car. Well, the remote when you press the unlock/lock button all it does is strobe the LED at me. Ive replaced the battery and cleaned the remote but still nothing. Any ideas on how to fix it w/o buying a whole new system?

Start by ripping the whole thing out. That should help.

It's hard to diagnose these common electrical problems without properly testing, and re-testing the signal wires.

Worse case scenario....electrode is f*cked on your remote, or freyed wires...
