What The Hell
What The Hell
I am removing my Knock Sensor and I have done the hard part, i got it out from under the manifold but I cant get the damn sensor out of the harness its not the snap on and off kind like all the other plugs on the car what is the god damn trick. there is a little metal poll that runs along the outside that stops it from comming out what do I do?
yeah that can be frustrating...you will see that little piece of metal it looks like a staple..that will need to be taken out with a little pick or a hook will do it.do not lose it ,slide it back in after new sensor is on the harness and your good.
power below 3 grand i did NOT get after replacing the knock sensor. i don't think it did $hit to be honest. i think my trans is goin out, its slow to shift going up hills. any ideas people??? sorry about the thred theft, i need some help with this. thanks to anyone in advance.....
Max ride,
I'm assuming you're running 93 octane, have done an injector cleaning & the TB & IAC is clean... Power returning from a KS change will only really be felt if you are also using the highest octane you can find....even then, it may take a couple of week of routine driving. (yeah...you might want to start a new thread with all the details.)
A last thing to look at is adjusting the throttle positioning sensor.

Well i had the knock sensor code for about a year, have always run the lowest octance. decided to change the little f*ck yesterday and it pulls a lot harder.... still with 87 octane. like its rediculous...the tires havent broken loose on dry pavement for the past year until now
