Squeaking Sound From Engine Bay

For some reason when the engine is cold (starting it up for the first time) there is a squeaking noise comming from the left side of the engine bay. It's not a constant squeak like SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK it's a series of short squeaks until the engine is warm then it goes away. This only happens when the engine is cold, any ideas on what this could be?

Hmm I had my AC and Alternator belt done almost 2 years ago/ maybe 10,000miles on them. Do they wear out that quick?

Your belt might be loose.

Most likely belts were not installed properly, low quality belts were used or it's just a loose or overtight belt.

A/C Clutch bearing is bad. Search, another member did a writeup on how to. I have the same issue. Belts are new and in good tension, yet when cold will squeal like something is dying under there. Although if you used cheap belts, they lose tension and grip quick. Check tension 1st like was mentioned earlier.

It is probably the belt. I think the other members have covered this thoroughly. I do want to add this though: Don't mess with that belt unless you know what you are doing.(It's a given but some people don't realize that even simple things can mess up a car or at least a car part.)
