Well...

The most popular is:
1. Konig Monsoon (out of production)
2. Momo Arrows (I think also out of production).

Now people are going with Konig Verdicts. They look nice and not too much $$$.

Lotsa people around here have Konig Tantrums as well. I have them in 18s, VERY VERY nice. And I got Pirelli P7000 Supersports, also very nice.

Are you going for..

looks?
handling?
minimizing unsprung weight?

if you're going for looks, well, anything goes, I guess. If you want to improve handling, don't bother with 17x7. Go with 17x8 or 18x8.
if you want to reduce wheel weight (which WILL make help improve accleration), it all depends. Its easier to find very light 16's or 17's that would break the bank. If cost is no object, just about anything from Racing Hart or Rays Engineering (Volk, etc..) will do.

Just remember that with 18" or higher, the ride will be quite harsh.

But overall, for a cheap, relatively lightweight 17x8 wheel, that looks good, I'd say..
go with Enkei wheels (Konig's are lower quality and heavier).
