EBAY EXHAUST??

I was looking on Ebay for some parts and came across these after market y-pipes. Similar to the budget, cattman, and warpspeed. Does anyone have any insight on these parts,
Ebay y-pipe and headers

those headers on ebay are crap - two bolts won't fit the front header, and the y-pipe doesn't line up properly with the cat - what do you expect for 140 bucks?

They work fine but they don't give the power that equal length units will.

those manifolds are shortys which are bad for your low end, especially if you an auto.also that y-pipe looks severly unequal to me.I would say just spend the 200 on a decent y-pipe.

Alright, alright, I take it back - EBay parts arent worthless. I just prefer to stick to brand names for various reasons. Carry on!

my understanding is it is exactly the opposite.

"with short runners, peak power is delivered earlier in the powerband. low-end and midrange is emphasized." - from vipervadim's header comparison on nycmaximas.org

catbacks are just steel tubing (- muffler). any 2.5" stainless catback should be the same provided fitment is good.

there have been no dynos that i know of to support the large/small/no gain statements. not saying that you are wrong (i agree with you), just saying that nothing has been proven as far as i know.
