Air Leak/Air rush sound on highway

Hey guys,

Driving on the highway today and heard a sound that I've only heard maybe once or twice before. I was doing about 50-60 mph each time also.

When I'm driving I think I'm hearing it come from the driver side under the hood. I know this may be vague but who knows...It kinda sounds like air rushing in/out of something in very short bursts. It almost sounds like one of those crappy blow off valves in turbos...that shutter sound, but in slow motion as I'm driving (i'm not turbo'ed btw)

Also, when I revved the engine up to about 6k rpms while cruising it didn't change all that much, just stayed at the same pace I'm pretty sure.

Sorry for the vagueness but thanks for looking. Any ideas??

Any other mods we should know about? A modified air intake system could make some weird sounds if something didn't fit right. I imagine, mine is stock so I wouldn't know

Assuming you've already ruled out wind gusts, hearing the same noise every time you drive by a factory that makes a lot of noise...no idea. What sort of frequency do you hear it, every few minutes? Every 10 seconds?
