Knock Sensor Reset

after replacing the knock sensor, is the basic screwdriver reset of the ECU sufficient to activate the new ks or does it need an electronic interface?

1997 SE standard shift.

Just reset the ECU.

I didn't even have to reset mine, I went to check the codes and it took care of itself.

do you have any install tricks for the sensor itself? i know its a 12mm and my hand is not huge, but I am still stuck.

Use your left hand-- it'll be easier to get in there.

just get someone with small arms to stick their hand down in there and loosen the nut.

depending on your tool box... if you use a couple of swivel sockets and couple extensions you can fanagle a 1/4 ratchet socket setup in there pretty easily.
