E-brake light always on

Hey guys,

Last weekend I swapped out my rear caliper because it was seized, and when I put everything together, the E-brake light constantly stays on even though it is disengaged (brake does not drag, the car rolls freely).
Is there something I'm supposed to adjust to get this light to turn off when the handbrake is down?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Two things light up the brake light (by itself, anyway):
  • Parking brake engaged, or switch faulty
  • Low brake fluid level, or switch faulty

Some brake fluid did come out as I was changing the caliper. After that I took some more fluid out to drain the air out of the line. I'll try topping up the fluid.

Thank you for your help.

sometimes the float inside the brake fluid resevoir gets stuck down just make sure its not all the way down at the bottom of the resevoir.

Have you checked the brake fluid level?
