Theres really no way to describe this issue without using the word 'cluster' LOL



So, once you ever are able to tell an 1157 bulb from the others, you will see that theres two elements in there, the dim one is the one you call 'running lights', the ones that light when the lights are on, then the bright one will light with the brake pedal.

I'd put the old 7.5A fuse back in, turn on the lights and do a test with a voltmeter, then have someone press the brakes and test it then. You should see voltage to the dim side first, then to both on the second test. If not, trace the wires to see whats wrong. Maybe the two hot wires to the bulb got reversed?
