Will a 5gen front valve cover fit on a 4gen

I was wondering if a 5gen 3.0 valve cover will fit on a 4gen. I am pretty sure it will but was not sure if you would also need to use 5gen coils like with the rear

yes.....
much easier to if your doing a 00vi swap.
but short answer yes. the diffrence though is going to the the pcv valve is located diffrently. yes you would have to use the 5th gen coils. but you could some way make the 4th gens fit(ie have to get differnent bolts. the threads off the 5th gen is diffrent from the 4th gen. and there is only one bolt for the 5th gen vs 2 on the 4th

Yes.

Will need new hose for PCV.

4th gen coils will work, but no way to bolt them down, so they arent recommended. 5th gen coils bolt and plug right up.
