Stillen Intake

I just ordered astillen intake over the phone yesterday. The salesman was very helpful. I called just to ask questions and he didn't even have a problem answering and there was no pressure to buy. I got a good discount on it too. Why do people think that they are a-hole over there? Maybe I got lucky with this salesman. It was $150+ shipping. Hope it's worth it.

You could have gotten a JWT intake that does the exact same thing and looks the same expect for the word "Stillen" on it for $50 less.

mikese, I got the Stillen too. Yes it is identical to the other Pop's, but ours has a Chrome top that says STILLEN. On the stuff that people can see I like that it looks nice. It was worth the xtra $$ to me. I have bought many things from Stillen, Intake, Y-Pipe, FSTB, RSB and Front Grille, I have never had a customer service problem and usually get below what they first told me the price was. If you want the name, you pay more.

Are you saying you never pay more for name brand items? I know K&N makes quality filters however what do we really know about the JWT filter other then the fact that its not a K&N. I think the main point of his post was that he had a positive experience with Stillen customer service not to brag about buying a Stillen intake. Just my 2c.

I agree stillen makes great stuff. I bought the JWT intake and also like it very much. Stillen is the only company that sells our supercharger, if you plan on buying one. I wonder if I can get a deal on that.

I didn't mean to come across as a D***. I do the same thing when it comes to buying Stillen or another brand, I almost always pay the extra $$$ for the 7 letters. Sometimes it might be for that false sense of superiority, other times it might truly be for superiority, depends on the mod.

Miguel and tifosiv hit it on the nose. On the post, I just talked about the good price and great customer service. The best price that I found for a JWT was $115 so I figured that paying $35 more is worth it. Look at it this way, I could have spent that money on something else that i probably don't need, like cds... But I spend it on my MAX

Personally, I would have saved the $35, gotten the same kind of consistant customer service from Got Rice? (who sells it for $109 I believe), as well as the same performance and spent the $35 on something like gas or a nice day out with friends.

But hey, to each his own.

Your also correct, Got Rice? has great service, and I have used him before. I order most of the Stillen Stuff before finding out about him. My Stillen X-Drilled Rotors came from them.

It's been hot or cold with Stillen. I've gotten excellent service from them most of the time, and always terrific products, but a couple times they p!ssed me off badly. I guess I don't expect them nor anyone else to be perfect, but... When they goofed, they goofed big. Over all, they get a "7.0" from me on service, and a "9.0" on quality. But then, I haven't had a SC pulley to contend with, either. On balance, I'd still recommend them.
