Scary noise coming from my Max...
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this before - When making sharp turns or turning onto an uphill driveway (slow or fast), I hear this click click clack noise that sounds like rods/bolts flexing. It's pretty loud and it sounds like its coming from right under the shifter/middle console. I thought it might have had something to do with the new y-pipe that I just installed but it fit pretty snug and it doesn't sound like a rattling noise that could be coming from something touching the pipe. Whats weird is that I get the exact same noise whenever I accelerate over 5k in second gear. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas would be appreciated. btw I'm an auto.

I wanted to say CV joints. But you say your hearing it in the middle sort of? Usually the CV joints on the outside go bad. Resulting in a click clack click clack noise when the wheel is turned and you step on the gas. I wonder if an inner joint would produce noise similar to what your hearing. I'd check the drive shafts, both ends and see if your CV boots are all ok.
