Knock sensor and coils from 01 fits 98?

Knock sensor and coils from 01 fits 98?

thanks in advance....

basicly im asking if 2001 infiniti i30 engine is same as 98 maxima...

i have a chance to pick up knock sensor and spark coils for my moms 98 maxima... im offered a 2001 infiniti i30 engine for dismemberment. are parts interchangeable?

Knock sensor 'might' be the same, but the coils are definetly different. They will not attach to your 98's valve covers.

Fronts will, but AFAIK the rears won't bolt up.

Knock sensor, most likely.

The knock sensor will bolt up along with the front coils. The rear coils will not fit, unless you do an 00vi swap.

I'd go for the 5th gen KS over the 4th gen's as they were made with a stronger composite rather than a plastic type that the 4th gens have.
