Maybe it's a typo, I'm sure he meant 6500rpms, which is understandable, but I still wouldn't worry about driving the VQ30 @ stock redline for hours. I do it all of the time.

Also I like the "xxx miles and x/4 of a tank", not worth anything to me. That's believing newer cars mpg computers.

Miles/gallons=mpg and useable info.
I drive 98% highway, to work I'm cruise control 80-85mph.
The way home cruise control 70-80mph.
168 miles a day.
And I'm currently averaging 23.41mpg.

Caattman ypipe, cattman cai, fidanza flywheel, 5th gen clutch, b&m, recently jwt ecu(hasn't effected my average yet), and Valentine One + remote display

I take mine to about redline leaving just about every stoplight and stop sign and at 225K it's still treating me fine

It's an auto, though, so short of leaving it in 1st or 2nd, I'd never really have a reason to drive at redline for any amount of time.

On another note, I only got 19.8 MPG last fillup...I blame starting it a few minutes early to let the A/C cool the car, the short trips between buildings for work, and my lead foot.

That's pretty sweet! I'm only getting 200-250 km's per tank, but I guess you could say I drive pretty stupidly. Alot of hard accelerating at green lights, etc.

That's awesome.

I got 320 miles to tank on highway, really windy conditions. I have 18x8 wheels with a CEL for 2 O2 sensors, and a knock sensor.
