has anyone expierienced this problem with the break light.
i usually put my e-brake on when i park so the break light will light if the car is on we all know this.so i start the car removed the e-brake and i start driving as i come to a light i noticed the brake light was still on.this scared the hell out of me i though i was driving around with my e-brake on but i know i removed it.after breaking a few times the break light went off then it came back on again.i have no idea why this happened i checked my brake pads i know they are low but they are not making noise yet which is an indication that you need to have them replaced.my question is, when your brake pads are wearing does the break light come on? is so thats news to me i didnt know our cars do that. that would be a relief at least i will know its just the pads and no other seroius problems. thanks for any feed back.

Had the same problem...my brake fluid was low, check yours. I kept having to refill mine, ended up needing a new master cylinder.
Check your owners manual:
Hopefully this helps.
Check your owners manual:
Brake warning light
This light functions for both the parking brake and the foot brake systems.
Parking brake indicator
The light comes on when the parking brake is applied.
Low brake fluid warning
The light warns of a low brake fluid level. If the light comes on while the engine is running with the parking brake not applied, stop the vehicle and perform the following:
1. Check the brake fluid level. Add brake fluid as necessary. See "Brake and clutch fluid" in the "Do-it-yourself operations" section.
2. If the brake fluid level is correct, check the warning system.
