Sparco, (Racing Seats)
You can put in almost any seat.
www.MaximaDriver.com will have more details (you can even put in seats from other cars). I think Corbeau A4s are most popular because they are simple, reclinable, have large bolsters, fit the Maxima nicely and are only $300.

Corbeau will be the easiest to install since they make brackets specifically for the maxima. With Momo, Sparco and others. You might have to find a machine shop to modify the brackets.

are there any seats from other cars that I can put in the maxima w/out any modifications? because I don't have the $$$ to spend for new seats, but because I race I would like something which has better support, something from nissan family would be fine too, but I don't know if anybody has tried that
Nothing else really fits without some sort of modification. You can try 4th gen. Prelude seats ('92-96), but they do require custom work to fit.
