You should do a write up for the FAQ-U section on maxima org, that would answer a lot of questions!

I am working on it right now...

I am going to be red/chrome. Right now I only have the red loom, but the valve cover is going to be red and headers and block polished. I think it will look good on my ruby Max. You can see what I have so far on my homepage (http://Vyrus.OnlineShowoff.com)...

I have a question about detailing your engine. I have done it before using cleaners and spraying it out etc and it came out fine but what I seen was I think on chestons Max on his page how on the metal piece behind your valve cover( it is about less than a foot or so back and looks like pipes running from front to back). On his is was extremly shiny and new looking and looked great. Mine is grayish and seems to be the same as others I have seen. Any idea how he got it so bright? Was it just a cleaner or polish that did it

ever heard the term intake manifold? he got it polished at a shop like you could, and they even sold them on ebay once, my red max has an engine colored blue and silver and chrome, simply because i got the strut bar first, and just matched everything to it, pic in the profile

Thanks. It was right there but just could not remember it for the life of me while I was posting. Maybe I will write it 500 times on the chalkboard for next time.

what do i use to cover that thing (i honestly don't know what its called) its long and kind of like the shape of half a rectangle. it has wires running from it and its on top of the intake manifold. it looks like electrical tape is just wrapped around it.

i know what you are talking about, i dont know if it has a name, all i know is that the spark plug wires come out of it, either re-wrap with colorful electrical tape, or put wire loom over it

let the sinple green soak for 5 -10 minutes..

and you should never use high pressure water in your engine bay...

you can use the car wash as long as you cover your intake (if you have one) and use the rinse. just do not pull the trugger on the water sprayer.. there is plenty of pressure withou it...
