wat the freak!!

Shops are quoting me 200 bucks to change a flex section on my budget y pipe. The whole friggen pipe costs a bit more than that!!

If anyone changed their flex how much you guys paid?

yeah, they tried to charge me that down here in MD, i just went ahead and bought another one, which i suggest you do.... becuase i know that leaking flex pipe sounds horrible.

Correct, call some mom and pop exhaust shops.

Sometimes the shop itself will have it or you can get them on ebay or summittracing.com. I would guess it needs to be the material the budget y pipe is made of cause people avoid welding different metals together like the plague.(Meaning like stainless to mild steel).

you can buy a bare flex from LSS (I think). but for the price of shipping etc, it makes more sense to get it from a lical muffler shop. any shop should have it. just make sure the diameter isnt too small.

Where's it leaking at? If it isn't all rusted out you can wrap it w/ header wrap...

I got some of the fiberglass ish' from Summitracing for like $10.00 and wraped my SS upipe w/ it - got rid of every bit of "bees in the can" sound I had.

But I guess it depends on what exactly is wrong w/ yours...
