HELP PDQ

check it, cars been acting super gay. misfiring when sittin still. go get it checked, they tell me that cylinder 3 is misfiring. any help on what this could be. i think its a coilpack from what ive heard from other ORGer's

+1, iirc there is a TSB on coil packs and also a EGI harness (but the harness mainly cause MIL lights to pop on.

So, I trust you have a CEL?? Well, whoever checked your car should have told you the code number in addition to saying cylinder #3 is misfiring. Then you can confirm the code number with the info given in the Haynes/FSM etc. Simple detective work.

You do know how to check the codes yourself for free, right?

Do you have a FSM or Haynes at your disposal?

Do you have a multimeter to check the coilpacks with?

swap the coil to another cylinder and see if the misfire follows it.
if it does, you have a bad coil
if not check the spark plug and the fuel injector.

i was almost positive it was the coil, went and got one and man what a diff. thanks for the help

Did you have the chance to see any fire blow out your tail pipe during the misfire(s)??? Thats THE BEST! Nothin like dumping raw fuel on down a pipe heated to 500+ degrees!
