New little experiment

Today I will try an experiment. A lot of people are starting to go with OEM wheels on thier cars instead of aftermarket. I've seen some really good outcomes so I figure I'd dabble. Since I have an 02 GLE, I'm thinking of swapping wheels with the 4th gen. My only problem is BBK clearance, which I'll play around with the spacers. Anyways I wanted to see if anyone has any pics of 02 GLE wheels on thier 4th gen. I haven't seen many pics of that around. Anybody?

If your BBK is causing you that much hassle, we can always swap. My calipers only have about 3k miles on them, same with the hawk pads.

Don't you still have essentially stock calipers and rotors?

Actually the other fix is I could potentially just get Q45 calipers and alleviate most of my clearance problems.

Yeah, but there brand new!!! Besides, it would alleviate your clearance issues... You couldn't clear 5th gen rims with a 20mm spacer!

Bad idea. The Q45 calipers might work but I'd look for some OEM G (brembo optioned versions) or Z wheels. Most of these oems clear my bbk fine. As you must know by now by all the oem Z/G wheels I've had. No spacers either.

My bro might be selling his 17" Cobra 5 spokes that I used to run. Also clear bbks with no spacers.

Yeah, I really like the newer 350z 5-spoke rims. Just don't have a ton of money to spend on them. Plus I still need to find someone that will buy my 18's I have now.

If you wind up torn between two OEM rims, let the weight of the rim decide for you....

That's what the boost is for...wheels spin so fast you can't tell!

Seriously though, you're car is the reason I like those rims.
