New Clutch/Flywheel

So about 1000 miles ago i got a new clutch, flywheel, clutch slave.... and my lines fully cleaned because i was having major tranny issues wouldnt engage. I had maddd gunk built up in my clutch line so they did about 5-6 cycles of clutch fluid in my lines to get them nice and clear.

Anyway now that 1000 miles are up and im thinkin im past my breaking in point. My clutch feels soft! i got a 5the gen clutch kit everyone said its much better than the 4th gen. The pedal has no strong kick back. Its really easy to push it in, my buddies 4th gen with a stock clutch feels 10 times stronger. WHen i shfit, do to the fact it dont kick out hard i can feel the delay when i shift. anyone know what i can do about this?

Have you tried bleading the clutch again? Is your pedal adjusted correctly?

Is there any free play when the pedal is up all the way? My clutch had the feeling like it wasn't bled all the way and it would stick to the floor. The action wasn't smooth either. I kept bleeding it and it didn't change the feeling. Also I had no free play when the pedal was up top...but a crap load down below. Turned out I need to adjust the pedal. Now I have freeplay up top, and the pedal returns every time which a nice smooth action.

Sorry to barge into this thread but I don't seem to be able to start a new thread yet.

I going to do a flywheel and clutch install on the weekend on my 98 Maxima SE. It seems that we have a 2 piece flywheel. I have a flywheel replacement but it is the inner part that attaches to the section of the flywheel that has the ring gear on it. I was wondering if anyone could provide the torque specs on that piece. I have the flywheel to crank specs and for the clutch.

The section I am referring to is between #15 and the ring gear section. It has 9 bolts to attach it and I require the specs for that. My manual I got online seems to not have that information in it. Thanks. JS
