no sound from stock bose system 95

well i have the stock system in my car and it worked fine for a while until there produced no sound from the speakers. i checked all the fuses and that doesnt seem to be an issue. and i cant seem to find the fuses / amp for the rear speakers (ive only ever looked at them this once) so i cant really check about those.

however the HU has power, will accept and play cds, and spit them out it just will not produce any sound.

the rear speaker amps are located inside of the black plastic 'cup' at the bottom of each speaker. if you're positive that the fuses are good (specifically the "bose" and "audio" fuses in the middle row), then look into checking the amps and also the HU itself.

i have the whole dash pulled apart right now in the driveway. i couldnt really 'see' anything that didnt look out of place but i also didnt want to go disconnecting anything.

and i checked the fuses under the driver dash a few times, ill run by them again for safe messure.

and what about an audio relay? im sure it has to have one but i cant seem to find it anywhere online.

oh and one more thing, if the fuse in one of the speaker amps was out, would that cause them all to be out?

okay so here is the deal...

i go out and check the fuse and this where i feel i should get the douche bag of the year award cause its blown. BUT i know ive checked it before...

anyways i go up to autozone and they didnt have any 15 fuses so i bought a pack for a few bucks and put in the 15, bam the radio works. i turn the car off and put my dash back together and turn the car on and no radio, wtf.

i pull the fuse and its blown again... the 15 just like its supposed to be rated. so i put in a 20 and turn the car off and on a few times and the radio still works.

now my concern is why is it blowing the 15?

There is likely a problem on one of your amps that is causing the 15 to blow. Are you getting sound from all 4 speakers with the 20? I would try to find out why the 15 is blowing instead of running it with the 20.

When I had the Bose, I had a similar problem with my right rear speaker. Something had gone bad in the amp and it was blowing the fuse every time that the radio was turned on. I changed the amp and the problem stopped. What you can do is put in the 15, disconnect the amps, and reconnect them one by one, turning the radio on each time as you add the amps. When you find the one that is blowing the fuse, you'll know that the problem lies in that amp.
