vs.
4. MTEC Super White 9004 - 4X
Bulb Type: 9004
Wattage (draw):100/80w

Would I need to get a wiring harness for these because of the draw wattage? Does the output wattage matter? If so, where could I get a wiring harness for these?
vs -
Xtravisions by Sylvania?
I have a 95 max SE if that matters.

Best bet without getting true hids is to get the clear lens for the maxima first if your car still has the oem 95-96 lens, and do a 9007 conversion. I would also stay away from high wattage bulbs, if not, you need an upgraded bulb harness. But I would stick with the 45/55 like stock.

So if I chose #4 I'd need a harness right.
but For 1, 2, and 3 - I wouldn't? Because its only 64/45w? Which is tolerable?
I agree.
But, Silverstars, I hear bad reports from more than one source that they last like 6months usually. Which is ridiculous. Which is why I'm comparing those lights to the Xtravisions which I hear last longer? rather than Silverstars. What contributes to a light not lasting as long, other than environmental variables, like. does color temp matter or wattage more.. determining the life of a bulb.
