G35 staggered rims. Can they mount without aything else?

like the title says. will they mount directly? or do i need spacers and such? Some ppl say yes and then other ppl say no. Can i have an answer from someone that has or has had them on? and no flaming as repost because i tried posting in some older threads about this and no1 answered.

hey thanks wizard, and yea im going with the G35 rays 19s. How long do you think 45% thread will last? i only drive the max like 400 miles a month, but i am driving it to Modesto, Ca on Turkey day. Think theyll last till then, id like to change them after the trip so i dont put that many miles on new and expensive as hell tires.

What is the tread wear rating on the tires?

Well, if you only drive 400 miles a month (roughly 5000 miles in a year) these tires will last you forever and ever. Assuming it's a performance tire, say 30,000 mile tread life expectancy, and are roughly 50% used up, that means you have about 15,000 miles left on them. 15,000 miles divided by 5,000 miles a year means you have about 3 years left on them.

The info on the side of the tire won't tell you how many miles they're rated for. Take note of the brand and whether they're H, Y, Z rated etc, call up Discount Tire or the like and ask them how many miles they are rated to last.

19" tires are still fairly expensive to this day. But of course, it depends on which manufacturer and rating you choose to go with.

To get an idea of tire prices, go to Discount tire's website and browse around.

According to the sticky, it appears your rims match the pics of the G35 18's.

Ask for a closeup pic of the tire sidewall with the tire info in plain site (ie 245/40/18 ....) with the rim still in the picture....that will tell the story for sure.

My front and rear rims are different offsets by mistake. The vendor shipped 3 35mm, and 1 38 mm. Because they were closeout and they had no 35's left, they gave me a 38. IMHO nothing is accomplished, I've kept the same offsets on the same axle, so whether the 38's are on the rear (as would be ideal on a RWD) or on the front, there's no difference.

Also, treadwear is only applicable when the same mfg's tires are being compared. My Kumhos were over 400 and they were shot in about 25k (high perf all season). My original RS-A were what, 260? They lasted 67k.
