Fuel Smell in Vents
Ive searched and read all the threads on this and ive checked pretty much my whole engine bay and I still can't find the source of the smell. It comes and goes, sometimes its bad and sometimes you can't smell it. I tried to smell it with the AC on and I couldn't, but when just the fan is on I can smell it. I had my exhaust from the cat back replaced 6 months ago but I think i could smell it before that. Also the CEL is not on. Any ideas?

usually it's the fuel hoses that join the two parts of the fuel rail. the hoses will allow
the gas to weep through when they get old. sometimes you can just tighten the clamps on the hoses. but if they are original...replace them. you can usually find the wetness
on the hoses at first start-up of the morning. raise the hood, look over everything, then start the car and recheck the hoses. also check the hoses at the fuel filter the same way at the same time.
