Gauging Interest: Billet 4th Gen Maxima MAF Adapters

Dear Mods, if you feel this needs to be elsewhere, please relocate.

I am thinking about making a batch of MAF adapters. Trying to see if there would be people interested.

Please post whether you would be interested in a MAF adapter.
Pricing would likely be around:
$50 for the billet MAF adapter

I posted up this Group Buy inquiry, but not sure how many of you frequent those threads. http://forums.maxima.org/group-deal-...f-adapter.html

The reasoning behind this inquiry is another former 4th gen owner has asked us if it was feasible to make him one for his 5th gen. He wasn't satisfied with the quality of the welding on the Berk Technologies intake as well as the lack of bead rolled tubing. This is also a great idea for those of you who might be looking to make your own short-ram or cold air intake or forced induction setup (turbo or supercharged). We have done a lot of one-off products for the Ford Focus and my experience with the 3rd gens has brought me back to the fold with the 4th+ gen products.

Looking forward to seeing how we can help the Maxima and Nissan Community!

Cheers,
Brian

looks nice but $50 is a little pricey in my opinion. I could see my self buying one for $20 but not much more. Plastic ones are $5 or you can buy aluminum ones from an auto store for $9 and then drill your own holes (thats what I did).

Are you going to offer a couple of different sizes, or just one?

Back when I needed one, I paid ~$30 for a quality billet adapter and got it from Cattman. I think $30-$35 shipped would be great, if feasible.

Thanks for stepping up and offering an aftermarket part for us 4th geners.

On a side note, the MAF adapter shown looks like it wreaks of quality.

I got mine from Cattman too! But I had a discount. I paid 25 shipped......50 is way to steep. Like Wizard said if it's feasible the price should be cut almost in half!

I agree 50 is a bit too much, although it does look well made.

For a small run of CNC'd billet adapters I doubt it could be any lower. I may be able to look into a welded flange/tube adapter to lower the cost. That unit is not one that we make, just giving you an idea. Our product would be anodized for long lasting finish if the Billet route is chosen. Here is an idea of some another part we have made with CNC Milling and Welding, with bead rolled ends for intake piping.
